why did i swap..? this was supposed to be the team i’m on, the team i was supposed to swap to all those cycles ago, at the very beginning. this was supposed to be the team i was on with them, but..why does it feel wrong?
why citrine of all teams? why orange? why did my eye not change color like it usually does when i get my team? it was still orange after i swapped. it was supposed to be blue…why did it stay orange?
i know citrine was my first team, and my second technically, but why does it feel like it’s more than that? i don’t know-i don’t understand any of this. i’m missing something, and i don’t know why.

you ever think about them living vicariously through Icarus? Loving people they will never have? Wanting people they will never know? Having more memories of a family they're not even a part of? Not remembering their own father, who was good and who cared and who loved their family more than anything, but knowing Fable, in all of his awfulness? Knowing Rae and the other versions of him better than their own brother? Knowing other versions of themself better than they know themself? Knowing only to base their own world off of ones they've seen? How they have to relearn their favorite flower, color, and everything about themself?

Do you think that part of the reason we're still able to see the sherbs and all that even thought its technically a wack thing and probably should have gone away once Icarus became quixis is because its genuinely really helpful for Quixis to have all the fellas out here taking notes and keeping track of everything that happens?
Because like there's no manual for being quixis, there's no helpful guide from all the past quixises, however there are some silly little queers from the brown dimension that get a real kick of a keeping an in depth written history of everything that goes down in the multiverse
Like I can just imagine Quix-bert panicking slightly at another brothers get along shirt moment but then taking a quick glance over here and saying "oh! okay, this is fine"
