Blue Rose is a long-time love of mine. From its understanding of gender to how it views relationships, this world is queer through and through. Blue Rose uses the AGE system and is well equipped for epic fantasy tales.

Girl By Moonlight: a relative newcomer on the scene, Girl By Moonlight was published earlier this year by Evil Hat Productions. The game actively encourages queer themes, such as the exploration of gender identity and triumph of love over an uncaring world (while not essentially queer, the latter theme is very relatable to many of us!)

Girl By Moonlight uses the Forged in the Dark system, which originated with the popular Blades in the Dark.

Thirsty Sword Lesbians is a by now famous ttrpg Powered by the Apocalypse. Thirsty is a celebration of queer culture, sometimes joyful, sometimes angsty, always engrossing. Its robust social mechanics make it an excellent alternative to dungeon crawlers for those looking for a roleplay heavy gaming experience.

Lichcraft is a rules-lite game about becoming an immortal lich to live long enough to receive gender-affirming healthcare from an increasingly long waitlist. The art is gorgeous and the game cathartic. Also, who doesn't love liches?

Queerz is an upcoming RPG by Son of Oak based on the manga series by Isa Happyfield. While we tried to stay true to the intended themes of the game, Avalon made the mistake of mentioning Chainsaws in the intro, and we are merely pawns of fate.

Happy pride, everyone! We're celebrating this one with some in-theme games!

Thanks to everyone's swell of support, we got @elfgirlcraftworks to join us and make a silly little witch cat in Thirsty Sword Lesbians! You can listen to that one on June 12!

Then, on June 26, we take a look at Son of Oak's Queerz! RPG based on the manga series by the same name. Fans of either the series or of City of Mist will love this one. We sure did!

Rad Queer Festival (Sydney)

This event is held on stolen land, the land of the Gadigal-Wangal people of the Eora nation. The struggle of first nations people is ongoing, invasion and genocide continue to this day.  Sovereignty was never ceded.   UPDATE: Given the overwhelming support and interest, we've chosen to extend the event by another day so that we can give the time and space these discussions deserve. Two day festival for queer folk and their friends that rejects marriage equality as our only struggle and demands a more inclusive analysis of queer resistance. We’re planning two days of discussions, workshops, art & film screenings followed by an evening of spoken word, music & delicious food. This is a festival for queerz, by queerz! We welcome all forms of participation and are looking for potential contributors. This could mean a performance, a workshop, help with cooking, ideas for films or discussion or even helping us put up posters. We’re currently an open collective for people who identify as queer, so get in touch if you’d like to be involved in organising.
