Fern is the Link of this AU, and they are a mute warrior ready to raid any monster camps for weapons. Below is the other characters brief profiles:

Xe is an Elf! which in this fantasy world means that xe has long pointy ears, a long strong tail, and a connection to the earth! Xe is also the bastard child of xir country’s king, so xe has some power and wealth, which xe puts back in the community by having an open home! Xe is very kind hearted and loves everyone xe meets! For some context on xir scars, the belly scar is from when xe was born, (some organs were on the outside) and the scar on xir face is from xir first run in with xir oldest sibling when xe was like 12. Xis tail isn’t as muscular as other elves tails may be mostly because xe lives a life of luxury and doesn’t use it. (Bonus! Xe enjoys Shibari as like a fun art form so here is xir in one of xir shibari inspired outfits!)

Up next is Malachi’s bestest friend! Hayloft!

Hayloft is a changeling that never swapped with a child, so they still have their fae-like appearance! Being stuck in their changeling appearance has caused some issues for them, mostly coming through as sensory issues, which usually means having trouble with tight fabrics and textures on objects. Malachi has been a big help, as xe has been as accommodating as xe could possibly be when it comes to Hayloft! Hayloft is still relatively young for a changeling, as changelings usually replace a few children before they die, and they got caught before their first one. Though for reference, I’d estimate them to be about 18! Hayloft uses all pronouns and is aro ace! Bonus: here’s a comic of hayloft getting Malachi to come have lunch with them (I am not fluent in ASL, and I referenced a few videos of people signing “it is lunchtime” to draw these signs, I apologize if they aren’t 100% correct!)

Another friend of Malachi’s is Malachite! Also known as Mal!

She was born very sick, and when her parents asked to for the kings help, she was given magic as a life source. Though in this world, magic is very fickle, and while it kept her alive, it kind of put her in a daze. She often has a hard time remembering things, but that doesn’t stop her from trying her hardest to be there for Malachi. She is roughly 25, and her parents were close to Malachi’s mother, so as a thank you for the king helping her survive, they named her after the king’s eldest child. Shortly after, the king banished Malachi and xir mother from the castle, hoping to put some distance between the relationship. Malachite, however, didn’t meet Malachi until her 20th birthday! She had gotten separated from her parents and stumbled across one of Malachi’s maids, who took her to xis home, thinking she needed shelter. They (Mal and Malachi) instead became good friends, and they have stayed good friends since!
