I think one trope I'd like to see explored more in queer media, specifically one that mainly focuses on a same sex relationship,is the parent(or any other close family member) of one of main characters being against the relationship not because of their own homophobia but because they are worried about the scrutiny and judgement that their loved one might recieve from the relationship.

Just watched the movie Monster (2023), and I can't recommend it enough. It's a masterclass in storytelling and shows that depending on our perspective, the same events turn into different stories, and everyone is someone's monster. It's also explicitly queer, and the actors are amazing.
