fergus — FIVE FUCC FERGUS!! i gave him the brave sword in ch3 and he tore everything up. he's consistently been one of my best units; i gave him luna but honestly he doesn't need it. i like him as a character, too :] his intro w/ karin gave him enough personality to compensate for the complete lack of dialogue he had after that. i'm a ferghead always

karin — she needed some investment at the start of the game but she's also been incredible. her utility as a flier and as functionally a myrm when she's dismounted made me take use her on a ton of the indoor maps. and ofc i liked her intro w fergus :] it was nice to have a pegasus knight right from the start bc i really didn't use dean or eda a ton outside of ferrying other units

asbel — l + ratio + lmao + grafcalibur crit (explosion sfx) the prison maps at the start of the game were torture but getting asbel after all that was absolutely worth it. he is my go to boss killer (he just blew up cohen in ch23). i think in every future run of this game i do i will suffer through the prison gaiden chapter just to get him lmao

callion — one of my friends who's a big thracia fan was hyping up callion to me so i was like okay i'll train him w/ scrolls why not. anyway he's capped like everything except magic i think and crits every time he blinks. i can throw him in the middle of a horde of enemies and he'll mow them down without hesitation. callion so awesome callion so cool

robert — same friend also told me to train robert, which in retrospect was a good idea bc i didn't have any archers (i had ronan. i wasn't going to use ronan) and believe it or not he also crits every time he blinks. the fact he can use bows indoors is huge too. fantastic utility and he also has mostly capped stats

sara — i was SO excited to finally recruit her bc i love her character and backstory but she also blows things up incredibly well so she's on the top of the list too. the fact that she has paragon also makes her an instant favorite. i was not prepared for how much thracia essentially makes you use staves so dealing w/ the forest chapter to get her early was huge. also the fact that she's manfroy's granddaughter is infinitely funny to me
