every time I try to write brunt and quark, it so so quickly devolves from a serious dramatic emotionally tense confrontation to.... the equivalent of a particularly bitchy cartoon slap fight. they are mentally whacking each other on the heads with giant mallets and popping back up accordion style with a boooi-ooooing sound effect

Really loving the idea of Quark and Brunt “dating-but-not-dating” and everyone knows (hates) it except for Odo. Dax finally clues him in because she needs backup trying to put an end to it and he’s impossible to deal with for days because he’s in a horrified shock. Meanwhile Quark thinks no one knows and is going to painstaking effort to sneak him in and off the station every time he makes a bootycall.
