So Vergil ate the fruit from the qliphoth tree... Does that mean when he merges together again, is he still all powerful or is that just a game MacGuffin now? Does that make him the new King of Hell/Demon World? Has Mundus truly been defeated for good since DMC1?
If Vergil is the new King of Demons, does that mean he must stay in Hell/Demon World? Wouldn't the Demon World just be called Hell by normal humans? Do angels also exist in DMC aside from the reboot? If so they'd be just as fucky as demons can be, considering they don't stop demons from running rampant over the human world. If they do exist then I headcanon them to be selfish little vain bitches that can't be bothered with the affairs of man

This one is about the Aeons
So you know how the Aeons are the embodiment of THEIR path, how THEY are the things controlling the paths, how they continue THEIR paths no matter what?
What if it's the opposite?
What if the paths existed BEFORE Aeons?
What if the paths are CHAINS?
What if... what if it was the paths controlling the Aeons?
What if they can never stop?
Ok, essentially when the Aeons ascend, instead of becoming the CONTROLLER of the path, they become the... conduit, the medium. THEY... THEY continue their paths because they literally cannot stop.
The paths keep going and the Aeons are dragged along.
The Aeons are the prisoners of the paths in some way.
Yaoshi doesn't ACTUALLY want to preserve life, to inflict the Mara, to keep life permanent. But Abundance wills it and Yaoshi has no choice.
Qlipoth never actually wishes to continue building the wall, to continue hammering it into shape, to preserve it all. But Preservation declares it must be so and Qlipoth must keep hammering.
Nanook doesn't wish to destroy planets, to control the Antimater legion, to bring ruin to all. But Destruction keeps going and Nanook must continue as well.
It's like this with all the Aeons.
THEY do not stop THEIR paths because THEY like doing it, or because THEY truly wish for the paths to keep going, but because THEY actually CAN'T.
The Ravagers/Emenators don't know this, of course they don't. The paths run through the Aeons and the Ravagers/Emenators believe it is THEIR will, so they continue as well.
This would also explain how the Trailblaze still lives and keeps going even though Akivili is gone.
People on the paths don't notice things either.
Why or how could they anyway?
And the Stellarons... well the paths willed it so they came into being...
