Last Season Prada Shoes

All of these choices are based on early/mid-manga (I haven’t gotten past chapter 149 in the manga so this is all stuff based before that). And I figured most, if not all, Pokémon would be chosen by the House and 1st floor nobles.

Lou and Louise: Of the main cast, they are the most in sync. So I figured their Pokémon should reflect how well they fit into their roles as Doll and Master (as defined by the House). Plusle and Minun are probably the ones that fit the dynamic the most. (Although looking back at this, I am thinking about possibly changing them to maybe a fighting-type duo. But for early story them, I figured they fit well enough.)

Ricky and Patrick: Okay these two I had a lot of trouble with. I was thinking about having something that doesn’t as neatly into counterparts (since that point, especially for these two, is what makes their bond grow stronger), but I also thought that maybe they should have something more definitive since (especially in the beginning) they really tried to fit into their House-designated roles. However AGAIN, I also thought that this would be the perfect opportunity for Patrick to have a Grass-type ‘mon because of his flower hobby (and crush on Emilico). I figured Oddish because it has the chance to evolve into either Bellossom or Vileplume. And unfortunately for Ricky, the site I was looking at said Bellsprout was a counterpart of Oddish so he got that but it could always be worse.

Shaun and John: Now these two, I thought really hard for but also was way easier ironically. Since John is the Master (and thus the one the House is catering towards), their duo would need to be for a Pokémon that could be seen as strong and intimidating……. In their evolved forms. In their base forms, Teddiursa and Phanpy are not nearly as strong but still complement each other well (especially after checking their stats, Ursaring going all in on Attack stats while Donphan is more balanced in Attack and Defense).
