I learned a lot of fun facts this episode
I really do appreciate the way Ju Taeseon is completely incapable of handling normal human emotions, so he just oscillates wildly between making absurd demands and obsessively coddling Lee Chaeha
This man really said “don’t let other people treat you like shit that should be my special job 👉👈”
Love Destiny has one of the best first episodes of all time purely because they set up with a scene of these two sweet little boys promising to take good care of each other and be best friends for eternity and then it cuts to 10 years later and one of them murders an innocent woman and then the other uses a magic spell to kill him.
Absolutely iconic way to start this out I am locked in on this insane relationship dynamic

Most relatable part of the episode? So glad you asked. Teramachi insisting he's "walking the dog" while very obviously carrying that spoiled little pup the entire time.
JuniorMark: These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things™
There are a lot of reasons that make Junior and Mark a great pairing. Since I can’t list them all, here’s a few that never fail to amuse me
For the dear anon who requested something similar. I hope this makes you happy
1.Their Demon/Angel Agenda
There is a long-running joke that Junior is a demon and Mark is an angel, and somehow it manifests in a thousand different ways. Every mascot, random person, and living creature instinctively bullies Junior before immediately turning to Mark with giant cartoon heart eyes.
Look. We all get it.
2. They genuinely make each other better people.
They're complete opposites personality-wise, but instead of trying to change each other, they appreciate those differences. They constantly talk about how much they've learned from each other and how they've grown because of the other person. It's one of those things that's easy to see even without them saying it—but they also do keep saying it, which is very convenient for me.
3. Junior's lifelong battle with Mark's hair.
Junior is obsessed with Mark's hair. He's always touching it, patting it back into place, running his hands through it... and then there's the story of the first time they met. Junior has told this story approximately 4,000 times, and every single version goes:
"The first thing I noticed was that he had long, fluffy hair."
Followed immediately by:
"I didn't like it."
Every. Single. Time.
Ever since Mark cut it short, I genuinely think Junior wakes up every morning thinking, my vision has finally been realized.
But honestly, the sweetest part is how much Mark trusts him. Mark isn't naturally a very physically affectionate or open person, so the fact that Junior is constantly fussing with his hair says a lot about the comfort they have with each other.
4. The "Mark is deeply unimpressed" cinematic universe.
They have this ongoing bit where Junior is dramatically flirting with or being affectionate toward someone else... and then the camera slowly pans over to Mark looking completely, utterly unimpressed.
I love a recurring bit and it's just so cute and funny. It's okay Mark, he'd never leave you.
5: The Chin Touches™
This deserves its own category because they do it constantly.
There are two versions:
Junior holds out his hand, and Mark automatically walks over and rests his chin in it.
Mark sneaks up behind Junior and casually rests his chin on Junior's shoulder.
Both are ridiculously cute. No notes.
6. Junior's "this is MY man" victory lap.
Every time Junior gets to hug Mark, there's about a 70% chance he'll make direct eye contact with the nearest camera or audience member while holding onto him just to make a face that says "Yeah. That's my man. Stay jealous."
We understand, Junior.
7. And finally: just the fact that they're the go to choice for selling devotion.
If you need to instantly convince an audience that two characters are in love? Cast Junior and Mark.
If you need unwavering loyalty, quiet devotion, complete trust, or the feeling that two people have chosen each other over and over again? Cast Junior and Mark.
No really, this is a known thing that directors have mentioned in interviews. The chemistry between these two is legendary.
That’s enough I think, but honestly, I could keep going.
I didn't even get into the thumbs-up heart thing they do, Mark's little slaps every time Junior inevitably refuses to listen to him, or the cheekies.
That will have to wait. Or save me the effort and tell me what you like about these two 👉👈
Look, I've enjoyed every part of the 4 Elements universe that's aired so far, and I'm absolutely looking forward to finishing with the Fire series.
But I do think 4 Elements gave itself one tiny problem: part 1 was just too good.
I don't know what they put in the water on the Earth set, but every single moment of that series was like crack to me. The Earth series started at the finish line, and then every other series had the impossible task of trying to beat something that had already won.
Sorry to the rest of my beloved disaster-lesbian cousins, and I love you all, but Din ran so you could walk.
