Edwin: *reaches out to help*

Marinette: *switches all the groceries to one arm so she can hold Edwin’s hand*

Achilles had his heel, Superman has kryptonite, for kinecelerans it was electricity, etc....

And of course, Edwin Nigma was no exception.

The somewhat obscure son of famous villain, The Riddler, Edward had a penchant for riddles and puzzles, green in many tones and obviously, crime.

The younger Nigma mostly focused on stealing whatever stroke him fancy, like money, the lastest technology, jewelry and fancy clothing. He did use riddles on his heist from time to time but more than trying to prove he was the smartest cookie, he seemed to use his puzzling gifts to settle vendetta against whoever slighted him, perceived or real.

He had been caught before of course! But the boy never made it easy, putting quite the effort in athletics and gymnastics just for the sake of escaping never giving up unless it was the Batfam though given recent events, he had started to fight back, a tad fiercely if a certain Robin was involved...

With cops, he just dedicated to whine in a very, very loud, drawling and annoying way until they let him go or he just found a way out of the handcuffs on his own then ran like hell out of the car...the cops were getting good at resisting though...

But nothing would have prepared those who witnessed it for what they were about to watch.

"Jackpot!" A giggling voice exclaimed while running away with the recent loot of two electronic stores and a jewelry. A plan carefully and beautifully timed that would make clock king envious!

But as expected, a bunch of pesky bats wouldn't leave him alone, especially his love rival! But he was prepared this time and it was all working in his favor!

"Edwin!"

The green hooded delinquent stopped right on his track at the sound of a voice, the voice of his beloved!

"My Paradox! Fancy meeting you here!"

The blue eyed girl that stood before the Puzzler irradiated a strong presence for such small frame. She didn't look pleased with the little thief and the goods he carried.

"We have talked about this before Edwin..."

"But-"

"Edwin! You're going to put those stolen goods right where they used to be!"

"*whines* I don't want to my paradox!" The green clad teenager tried to fight back, knowing it was a losing battle.

"Is not right! I've told you many times!"

"*mumbling* says the girl that snatches cellphones like nothing"

"Did you say something honey?" To anyone it would like like a harmless question but those present, in light or in shadows, could tell they were charged with a strong forewarning...

"No my sweetheart" he replies, sweating a bit when the lightbulb just went on!

"But what about this?" Edwin showed a nice and expensive looking necklace to the black haired girl in hopes of convincing to let him keep the stuff and to give her a gift as he hadn't done so in a while and he wanted to badly. He couldn't let Wayne gain territory in his sweetheart's heart!

Marinette took the necklace and examined it, while admiring it's beauty. An excellent job was done on it's creation.

"It's really pretty but you're still returning all the stolen goods"

"Damn it"

There was nothing else he could do. He had to do what his beloved ordered whether he liked it or not.

The rest of the Batfam stood there watching the scene unfold from beginning to end not being able to completely understand what just happened.

Red Hood however, knew how to express that sentiment.

"What the fuck?"

Extra:

Batman, Robin and Red Hood finally decided to make appearance to escort Marinette while she made Edwin return the stolen goods in case he decided to try something. A notion that offended said Puzzler because he would never, ever do anything to harm his beloved paradox in purpose.

"That's my angel" he heard Robin mutter proudly, irritating him to no end.

"She's not your angel you twit!"

"She's not your paradox either you moron!

Marinette actually got the two of them to shut up and finish the job and that's when it clicked to the heroes who this girl was to Damian and Edwin.

"She's the girl the Demon Spawn won't shut up about!"

When Eddie saw the Paradox, it was durring one of his attacks as Puzzler. He had stoped her for a riddle. "Hey there, I have a riddle for you." He was expecting fearfull expressions but what he got was a bored one. "Go ahead" was the reponse he got. "You own it, but others use it more then you" he said.

"Name." Was the dry response he got. "You own your name, but others use it more then you. Now here's my riddle. What walks on four legs in the morning, two in the afternoon, and three in the evening?" She stumped him.
