PRWeek U.S. 20th Anniversary Trivia Quiz
Content Production // Graphic Design // Social Media Marketing
PRWeek, the world's leading PR and communications publication, needed to raise awareness of the 20th anniversary of its U.S. edition, as well as increase traffic to prweek.com and boost engagement across its social platforms. As PRWeek's Editorial Content Producer, I came up with a way to do all of the above, and the 20th Anniversary Trivia Quiz was born.
The quiz, which ran from September 18-20, 2018 on prweek.com (embedded via Playbuzz), had 15 questions that encompassed 20 years of PR history and included questions pertaining to PRWeek itself. It could be taken by both subscribers and non-subscribers of PRWeek. Those who got 10 out of 15 questions right and shared their results on Twitter by tagging @PRWeekUS were eligible to win a $25, $75, or $100 gift card.
I researched, wrote the copy, and designed the assets for all of the quiz and promo questions. I also wrote the quiz terms and conditions.
Coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders, including PRWeek's editorial and marketing teams as well as the C-suite, I created 35-plus assets for web and social, including promo/teaser questions and answers that were posted across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn the week leading up to the quiz. PRWeek’s VP shared the teaser questions on his personal LinkedIn page, reaching thousands of PR and marcomms pros. Some of the teaser questions included PR agencies and nonprofits also celebrating 20 years.
I coordinated with the marketing team to create assets and copy for email blasts that were sent out to PRWeek subscribers leading up to Sept. 18. I worked with the editorial team to include a CTA in PRWeek's Breakfast Briefing.
The day of the quiz, I worked with PRWeek's UX designer to do a homepage takeover on prweek.com.
1,400 people took the quiz from Sept. 18 to 20, 2018. Quiz promos received 449 likes across social.
