In this opening week end I have been really touched by the work of Prune Nourry. In her very personal show at @galerietemplon the artwork tells a poignant story of her fight against breast cancer, and her questioning of womanhood, her own femjnity, fate, illness. Her sculptures tell a powerful tale of a catharsis - also the name of the show. I have known Prune Nourrys work before and have to admit that I have not been so much a fan of it. I found it a bit distant and too analytical. But this show really got my stomach.
