Jeremy is THE grudge holder btw. When he was a little kid he'd be mad at his parents sooo easily. Little 6 yo jerm who isn't talking to neither Graham nor Kath bc Graham giggled when he tripped in his rollerskates and jerm got embarrassed. He passed it down to Cassidy when she was growing up and he said that was the right thing to do and she took it at heart bc that was her big brother
Jerm has two exceptions. Cassidy, ofc, and michael. Bc he likes to fight and argue with michael and it helps him let steam off
Cassidy has no exceptions only sometimes Jeremy when she's in a good mood. She didn't talk to Susie for years bc when she first did it was right after Evan died and Susie showcased too much pity towards Cass and it literally took Cass 4 years to get over it and give Susie a second chance

And the best sometimes is work at a pizzeria built upon the ghosts of three children, and sometimes family is your coworkers. Sometimes family is your neighbor who has a cute little dog and has a friend who's so hyperactive it puts the dog to shame.
And Jeremy has been beaten and abandoned and lied to over and over, and somehow living in this cursed town is what was needed to give him such stubbornness that he won't let it take himself or his sister as well. And Cassidy is shut off and scared of being hurt again and mean sometimes, and somehow Susie has looked at her as if she's good and nice, Fritz calls her his best friend.
And, of course, there's the bastard. The fallen-from-grace Hurricane star. Michael Afton waltzes in and lies that he's Fritz Smith and Jeremy makes sure he regrets the decision of ever lying to Jeremy's face at all. Because it makes Jeremy's blood roar, and his fingertips tingle, and he knows no better way to flirt than to annoy the shit out of him
