I have some very morbid questions as part of a theory heory. Spoiler Warning for Loki where Mischief Lies btw.
In Loki Where Mischief Lies, it was said that Sorcerers who were banished to Midgard all eventually died because Earth doesn’t have enough magic, so all of the magic in the sorcerer would slowly and agonizingly drain out of them until there was none left and their life force puttered out completely. Such was happening to Amora before she figured out how to steal the life force of humans to sustain her own power. But with Asgard destroyed... wouldn’t the same have happened to Loki if he had survived long enough to reach Earth? Did Loki know he would die out slowly on earth like Amora??? Did Loki let Thanos kill him because he already knew he would die either way?
Or did Loki figure out how to sustain his magic on Earth? Or perhaps his magic works differently because of his Frost Giant genetics? Or would he perhaps sustaining his life force using the power of an artifact, suck as the casket of ancient winters? I don’t recall Loki ever removing it from his pocket dimension before he fell from the bifrost. Or perhaps the masters of the mystic arts made Earth more magic friendly so Loki could live there safely now?
But still the fact that Loki could possibly have technically (and with full knowledge of his actions) sacrificed his life and his magic and doomed himself to a slow and painful demise due to permanent detachment from Asgard in order to stop Hela and save the Asgardians is both moving and deeply disturbing because he would have saved his people at the cost of his own life long before Thanos killed him, which would basically be like a mercy killing in a way because Loki didn’t have to suffer his magic slowly and agonizingly leaking out of him until he finally died. Loki actually cared about the people of Asgard enough to allow THAT to happen to himself. The thought is honestly sickening in that Loki shouldn’t have had to suffer like that.
This also makes me wonder if Thor actually knew this could happen to Loki or if he forgot, or perhaps trusted Loki to decide what to do about it for himself? Or perhaps Thor really didn’t know that was a possibility because he didn’t study magic like Loki?
Also is Amora even alive in the MCU anymore? Did she go back to her murder for energy method or did she finally die out back in the 1800s???
This is all assuming that Loki Where Mischief Lies is accepted as part of the MCU canon.
In conclusion... what the F*€K Loki!?
todays loki ep was just  ✨ t r a u m a ✨
Someone: Loki is such a toxic and manipulative character...
Me: *someone who is familiar with Norse Mythology* Loki is a God of Mischief. What is your point?!
