#problem dream

A recent dream returns me to a recent theme… In the dream… I’m reading a poem aloud.  I’ve reached the next to last verse.  At this point, I start to speed up.  I just want to be done with it. But as I proceed, I realize this section needs to be rewritten.  The lines just don’t make sense together.  But I’m in hurry, so I push on.  At the time of the dream, I was still rewriting a collection…

Dreams are often a combination of good news/bad news… But sometimes the bad news isn’t quite as bad as it seems… Consider this dream: Night-time.  I’ve arrived in Chicago for a visit.  As I walk down the street toward a bus stop, I realize my small backpack is missing.  I backtrack to a corner store I stepped into a few moments ago.  But no, the pack isn’t there.  No telling where I left…

In the dream…

I’m walking down a road when I see, to my right, a small house with a white garage.  A typical working-class domicile.

A big U.S. flag hangs upside down on the side wall of the garage.

The dream puzzled me, but didn’t trouble me.  So I merely wrote it down and filed it away.

using one bucket for a two bucket job

A recent dream says I’m cleaning with dirty water… In the dream… I’ve hung a white 5-gallon bucket upside-down, so it can dry. But there should be two buckets.  Where’s the second? This dream refers to the cleaning I do on an inner level.  The symbol of the bucket comes from a household chore… When I mop my floors, I always use two big buckets.  One holds the soapy water.  One holds the clear…

It’s night.  I’m sitting behind the steering wheel of my car…

But the wheel is so big—I can barely see over it.  How can I drive without wrecking the car?
