sad au idea pt1: pearl and garnet are fighting a monster/gem/whatever together that they can't beat (even if they fused) then garnet looks at pearl and says "pearl, i love you and im sorry i have to do this." then she kisses pearl and says "take care of them for me," before she bubbles her up and sends her back to the temple. Pearl screams "garnet no!" as she finally realizes that garnet is about to sacrifice herself to save her but before she can do anything she is teleported back to the temple
sad au idea pt2: after pearl gets back to the temple she gets herself out of the bubble and warps back to where she and garnet were before to find that whatever they were fighting was killed. garnet is nowhere to be found, but after some searching pearl finds two shattered red gems. Pearl cries and holds the two broken gems close to her when she realizes she never told garnet that she loved her back.

To that anon who is scared about cliqueyness -- please don't be! I can assure you I for one have already plotted with a ton of the new characters, and am so looking forward to having new plots and backgrounds and connections. Most of us either had drastic changes to our characters since TVRPG so that just makes more room for new people in our character's lives. Trust me when I say you will not be left out, and please don't be scared of us. Unless you're scared of being hugged a bit too tight.
