Let´s learn simple present!
El present simple es un tiempo verbal en inglés que se utiliza para expresar hechos generales en presente. Indica acciones o estados permanentes, acciones habituales y verdades universales. Por ejemplo: I live in Paris. El present simple tiene carácter permanente. Example I work everyday
Present Mic has a YouTube Channel, his family pops up every now & then and he always takes the time to blur their faces out because
A) Aizawa genuinely doesn’t like the attention
B) Shinsou & Eri are minors and can’t legally consent to being featured
Mic is a good, responsible dad that doesn’t exploit his family for profit
There are two ways to talk (not write, but TALK) about daily routines:
like a robot - you just throw random sentences around without any connectors or filler phrases
like a human - you use filler phrases, small digressions, and your speech is a bit "chaotic" (disorganized would be a better word here, I guess)
Well, I wake up at 6 a.m. My dog decides when to wake up. She's the boss here. I take her for a 20-minute walk immediately after getting up. Then... For breakfast, I eat hot-dog sausages! I love them. If I want variety, I eat scrambled eggs, or grilled cheese, or whatever I can find in the fridge. As for work... I work afternoons, so I spend mornings on doing hobby-related things, or on doing household chores. I start work at 2 p.m. and I work till 8 p.m. However, my schedule is not fixed; I work flexible hours. After work, I do workouts. I work out 4 times a week. I lead a rather sedentary lifestyle, so I need to work out. Before work and after work, I walk my dog. What else... I go shopping on the weekends. I try not to shop during the week. I mean...I think it's a fast way to lose more money on random stuff that you don't really need. When I have free time, I watch anime (usually in the evening) , read books, prepare handouts for work (I know, it's my free time but teaching career has no mercy). So, my life is kinda boring, you know, not full of fireworks and exciting events. It's calm and organized. I don't mind; that's what I wanted.
Yellow: That's what students usually say. They're grammatically correct, but their speech is unnatural-sounding. Such short sentences make you sound like a robot and unfriendly as if you were not willing to have a conversation.
Blue: Extra information that makes you sound like a human. You don't have to provide details or tell your autobiography, but short explanations why you wake up at 6 am or workout in the evenings make you sound engaged in the conversation and friendly.
Green: Filler phrases that will help you gather your thoughts and help you sound even more natural.
Note* Don't use "..." in writing. Such introductory phrases should be followed by commas.
