Quote 29 - Historically, giving someone your family's sigil meant asking for their hand in marriage. HE LITERALLY PROPOSED!!!

Quote 27 - These two characters have very different stations, one is a crown prince, the other his servant. Because of their different positions they can't openly express their care for each other even though they very obviously do feel that way towards each other. The servant says this quote to the prince before he goes off to a dangerous battle, and the servant has just told him that he will be going with him into battle. He doesn't just care about the armour, he cares about the person inside of it but can't say that directly!

Quote 84 - okay SO. this quote is in the context of the scene where the character who's speaking is leaving the other one for EVER (they met again 10 years later and it's devastating but that's not the point now). basically character B is the most powerful magical dude in the world in millennia and character A is his best friend and practically the only one who sees him as a person and not a living weapon AND the one who taught him to care about other people (bc character B, being that powerful, has kinda always been allowed to to whatever so he was super self-centered).

character A has basically gone mad and decided to enact genocide of anyone who doesn't have powers, and exactly BECAUSE character B learned from him to care about others, he absolutely can't follow him despite him being the most important person in the world for him. character A does try to convince him to join his cause (saying that with his powers it would be over in no time) and character B refuses and motions to do his magic tricks to explode him, but hesitates! so that's when character A says that. he's basically saying "either be by my side or kill me/stop me forever" (he'll sadly do neither) and like. yeah no I'm fine

Quote 66 - But actually though, B is here literally staring longingly into A's eyes and A is just kinda confused but not disgusted by any means... ok I see how it is

Quote 55 - HES IN A TIME LOOP. SHES TELLING HIM A STORY THAT MAKES HER FEEL BRAVE TO INSPIRE HIM AND HE KNOWS SHES GOING TO DIE SO HE LETS HER. HES HEARD THAT STORY HUNDREDS OF TIMES AND SEEN HER DIE HUNDREDS OF TIMES AND HE STILL KEEPS TRYING TO SAVE ALL OF HIS FRIENDS

Quote 10 - They're both such focused and driven people, serious and with their own shadows that weigh them down. Despite this and their own habitual cynism, A never stops believing in B - this is just after he went to hell to get her back after she "died" - he says this to her after she asked him how he could be so hopeful. This was affirmation that she's good and hopeful and inspires him even though she's stoic and moody - that she can be hopeful while being dark - because she tries so hard to be a good person even when everyone tells her she was born evil and doomed to cause the apocalypse. It was such a sweet moment of recognition and care that he gave back to her after being vindicated that he was right to put such faith in her.

Quote 57 - A offering to take on B’s case even though every other lawyer has turned him down because they seem guaranteed to lose and the trial is so public it will certainly end their career… A choosing to take that risk because he believes in B that much and he’s not willing to abandon him… B not wanting him to because he’d rather be found guilty than have A risk his career for him… there’s so much in these five words…

Quote 8 - ok so technically this exchange is between A's clone and B, but A's clone has all the memories of A and neither of them are aware that A in this scene is a clone so it's pretty obvious that these are repressed emotions that A has held for a While.

Quote 22 - A sacrificed everything in a failed attempt to save B (the speaker of the quote) from being controlled by the series' main antagonist, and never gave up hope even after being trapped in basically hell for ten years as a result. After the two are finally reunited, A questions if B is himself again and this is what he says to prove he's no longer being controlled. The line also calls back to an earlier conversation from before B was controlled where he told A that 'a strong enough dream will always be enough to light the darkness', implying that A is a part of B dream.
