With this homemade strawberry syrup, you can add a burst of fresh strawberry flavor to your drinks. Cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages benefit from its sweetness and vibrant color.
Ingredients: 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 cup water. 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
Instructions: Put the chopped strawberries, granulated sugar, and water in a saucepan. Start by setting the pan on medium heat. Then, slowly pour the mixture in. Stir the mixture every once in a while as it cooks for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the strawberries are soft and the sugar is gone. Take the pan off the heat and let the strawberry mix cool down a bit. Carefully put the mixture into a blender and blend it until it's smooth. To get rid of any solids, put a fine mesh strainer over a clean bowl and pour the mixed ingredients through it. Add the lemon juice and taste to see how much you want. Let the strawberry syrup cool down all the way before you use it or put it in the fridge in a container that won't let air in.
