Amelia likes to eat flowers and Javi is sooooo concerned. (He’s in love with a freak I tell you)

okay WAIT

I fully imagine this is one of those things that she quietly sort of backdoored into the relationship

like she knows it's kinda odd and he'll probably be okay with it because he's okay with everything she does (maybe too okay with it lol) but still, she sort of... soft launches it, and that's probably where the concern comes in because he thinks she's just spiraling into this weird new obsession but really, she's always been like this (Pop-pop will confirm later, when he finally breaks down and asks)

but she thinks she's being sneaky and sly about it to test the waters and it starts off SO normal

she gets a lavender latte or some white chocolate rose cookies (because she loves them anyway and also, those are normal things that normal people eat!) and Javi even tries them and likes them, just maybe not as much as she does

there's no problem there, so then she takes it to the next step: edible flowers, like the ones that come with fancy cocktails, or things like pickled flowers as a side with meal, and still, that's not really *that* weird, like they're part of the food/drink at this place so it's not that strange, if you ask him

then she gets bags of dried culinary flowers and starts munching them like snacks at home, and that's when he starts to wonder what's up because uhhhhhh he hasn't dated THAT many people but this seems out of the ordinary?? those are supposed to be for baking, not being eaten like crackers??? but she's happy and they're still for culinary purposes so maybe it's just part of the general strangeness that is Amelia Jones, whom he loves so so much and we accept the quirks of the people we love

then she grabs a flower off a bush while they're going for a regular walk after work one night and she just casually starts chowing down on it and he's SWEATING BULLETS because what is happening

is this an alien thing or an Amelia thing and should he be concerned
