So I learned about self-comment on Skype and I had to do this and share this on here. Just pretend that they sent me messages when I'm off duty as a Guardian.

I didn't choose my favorite comments, necessarily, but the ones that I needed at the time, as a brand spankin' new writer with zero support but reader comments. These are all from Eagles in Truro. Why? Because it's a big, gnarly mess that doesn't FIT. It's a freaking wreck o' ships. It's angst and fluff and smut and humor and I KNEW it was weird. I KNEW it wouldn't fit. (Because the author is a weirdo, too)

These comments were the ONLY feedback I EVER got from ANYONE on my writing. Nobody saw this fic but me and the readers.

So, these are of the "You're my shot of whiskey, not everyone's cup of tea" variety. Because that's okay. It's okay to never get your work recced. It's okay to not get hits. It's okay to get hits and few kudos.

It's okay to be a wallflower with a waltz in your head while the bass shakes the boards.
