Hey guys, I just experienced getting tagged in a post about my account being restricted and to fix it I needed to go to this link, but they them asked for bank account information to confirm my identity. Looking at the post amd account, it only had one post and the comments were just tagging a bunch of different accounts and giving them steps to fix this.
This rang major alarm bells, especially when it said to give my debit or Visa card information to confirm my identity. The post was made like 30 minutes ago so idk how new this scam is so if anyone has any more information on this please share
But overall the message is to stay safe, this looked pretty legit, I will admit I’m a little stupid and while not automatically believing it, still thought for a bit I might be legit. To others like me who are semi new to tumblr, or easily susceptible to this kind of thing, please be careful and cautious. If you’re not careful the post can look legit if you don’t look closely. Please don’t experience being scammed guys. I don’t know if there are more posts like this so watch out! Experience practicing internet safety please
