And thatās Venus done! Iām so excited to be able to color him, especially his hair. Still have yet to get better colored pencils, but Iām waiting until after my birthday to get new ones.
Speaking of his hairā¦ Side profile wise is relatively easy. Anything else is a challenge but fun! Also just means I need more practice (which is partly why Iām doing this series)
And that neck.. donāt worry about it! Totally legit anatomy!
Up next is the Earth! Might do Luna at the same time but weāll see once I start drawing.
So itās a bit of a work in progress. I havenāt drawn a pony in a very long time and went for a more personal style approach rather than the showās style. Maybe Iāll make versions based more on the showās style, but hereās the Sun aka Sol aka Helios akaā¦ you get itā¦ Not colored because I didnāt feel like it lol. Maybe later. Tried to make him look insane because yah.
I like to think the solar flares come from his horn and his fire hair gets higher.
If I ever draw him digitally then heāll be in color and may look different. Iām still working out how I want these guys to look.
For future reference. If I actually do the other characters, thereās a high probability theyāre all going to be in this basic side profile. If I make digital character sheets, then thereāll be more personality/diversity.

Why is this on my brain. Why is this the focus right now.
So I donāt remember if Iāve seen anyone do this before.
But My Little Pony and SolarBalls crossover where the celestial bodies are ponies. Or any species from that series but to keep it simple, letās focus on the main 4 types of ponies.
So obviously the sun is an Alicorn.
But what about the others???
Is it specific to the celestial body or are they in groups?
Like are the Rockies earth ponies and the Giants unicorns with the Moons being pegasi? Bat ponies? and what about the Dwarf Planets?? Are they also earth ponies just smaller?? Are they mules or donkeys??? Changelings??? I have no idea lmao!!
And if theyāre not just ponies and itās specific to the planet/moon/dwarf planet. What are they?????
OH GODS WHAT WOULD THEIR CUTIE MARKS BE???? IS IT THIER SYMBOLS???? ARE THEY BLANK FLANKS???
Honestly Iām half tempted to draw them as such. Maybe make the non-major moons, the ones that arenāt as large or round, the little Breezies or fillies/colts
Maybe the rouge planets are other species. Like the Kirin, dragons, griffons, hippogriffs, yaks, etc? Maybe each system is their own species? I have no clue yall!
