Ben is my OC! I made him up just now. Originally this started off as a throuple between him, Tord and Edd because the idea of their ship name being “Traffic Light” was funny, but then I tossed in Tom and Matt too cuz I love all these guys! So now they’re all in the polycule of pain and suffering

Currently this is just their dynamics before The End and Red Leader and all that. Stuff changes a lot when they’re all in the future

Traffic Light couple is still a thing, but we also have EddTom and MattTom thrown in for fun AND for more drama. PolyWorld truly is the answer to EddsWorld multishipper plights

Quick, but not really quick, background for everyone. They all knew each other from their school days, during highschool is when everything began to go to hell. Also they’re all okay with open relationships/being poly, love is love and love is free, just make sure everyone is consenting!

TomTord happened in highschool, but they were both too egotistical to admit they actually liked each other. So Tom and Tord kept their relationship secret, really nobody else in the group knew. The only hint towards anything bigger between Tom and Tord happened is that they REFUSED to hangout alone! There had to be one extra friend there at the very least, which was incredibly awkward since he had to manage two spiteful, incredibly hurt exes without even knowing that Tom and Tord were exes. A lot of the polycule’s issues stem from those two unfortunately, but it isn’t just them

Ben and Matt had their own thing going on. Nothing was made official there because of reasons I can’t come up with besides I want more drama, but after Tom and Tord’s breakup it was basically impossible for anything to happen. Tom got closer to Matt due to him and Tord not being the closest friends, and Tord got closer to Ben because Ben reminded Tord of Tom just enough to be around. Ben is unfortunately a rebound for Tord, while Tom and Matt are in a pretty happy relationship! Minus Tom still missing Tord. Due to Tom and Matt, and Tord and Ben hanging out, Matt and Ben rarely had time to hang out one-on-one so theres a lot of unresolved and undiscussed feelings there

Ben and Tom had a very short thing going on, where they got along since they were both very similar but ultimately just different enough to never truly connect. Tom moved on just fine, this was nothing compared to his breakup with Tord, but Ben struggled

Edd is also here! He was the glue of the group, keeping everyone together and being the only one who could keep a conversation going even when it was just him, Tord and Tom. Everyone loves Edd, and Edd loves everyone! The reason Edd and Matt aren’t dating is really none, they could start dating but get along so well they don’t feel the need to put a label on what their “love” is (if that makes sense? I ship EddMatt either way)

Edd

He’s dating Ben, Tord and Tom, and loves them all very much, even if he needs to stop them all from bickering and ESPECIALLY Tom and Tord from going at each other too harshly. Him and Matt are just fine with remaining unlabeled, they love each other in a deeper way than friends and just want to see each other happy, and if being happy is staying FWBs then thats all good

Tom

He’s dating Edd and Matt, they both helped him get through his nasty breakup with Tord which they don’t even know about. Tom would prefer to keep it that way. Ben and him are more difficult, as Tom is jealous of Ben for being with Tord (and slightly Edd). This leads to Tom and Ben having some confusing relations, and Tom using Ben to make Tord jealous too

Matt

He’s officially dating Tom, and has on and off relations with Edd, Tord and Ben. Edd and his relationship was already explained, Ben and him have the same issues going on but at least talk about it more, and he doesn’t really know, or care why Tord sticks around more than he used to. He really enjoys all the attention he gets and loves everyone in his own little way, but most of his love is focused on Tom

Tord

He’a dating Edd and Ben. Unfortunately for Ben, he’s still being used as a rebound and as a way to make Tom upset. The main reason he is dating Ben is because he reminds him of Tom in certain ways, but of course he isn’t really Tom so his love is questionable. He is jealous of Matt for dating Tom, as well as being able to pull both Edd and Ben

Ben

He’s dating Edd and begrudgingly Tord. He did used to have a small crush on Tord, but with the whole rebound thing, quickly lost feelings. He’s unsure why he stays, but it likely has to do with the attention he gets from Tom due to dating Tord. His feelings for Matt still remain after so long, but dating him feels too close to stepping on Tom’s toes
