- STAR: She’s been in the loop so long she is EXHAUSTED. She just wants to put it all down and give up, but she can’t. She judges every loop by how many people she manages to keep from hurting, but so far hasn’t managed to get out without SOMEONE dying. She is terrified that the cycle of violence beyond her control is what’s keeping her in.

- MICHAEL: If breaking this loop means he actually has to kill, and prove his worst fears right and that he’s just like his dad after all, he will never face that. He’s going to try and fight every way he can to find a way out, short of that. And he will spend several loops trying to fight all of the boys together, just to prove to himself that he can (results: inconclusive). But giving up isn’t his style.
