He sighs, sitting on the sofa with knees tucked under him faced towards his love who is trying very hard to avoid the silvery gaze. Whyâs he gotta be so stubborn? âI know things didnât go so well last time we visited my mother, but we canât avoid that forever, sheâs my mother, cloud.â Their trip not going so well was a complete understatement, everything that could have gone wrong went utterly wrong. Itâs no oneâs fault though, especially not Cloudâs who he suspects blames himself for incidents that cannot be controlled.
âLook, we can leave right away if you feel really uncomfortable or if something happens, I promise.â The brunette is tentative when he reaches out to place a hand upon the other manâs knee. Hopefully, his touch brings a little bit of comfort, he would like to believe that it does. âMaybe itâs selfish of me to ask you to do this, and Iâm sorry. But I want my mother to like you....there hasnât really been anyone else in my life like how we are, you know? And well, she didnât like the ones that were around for a little bit. Youâre different, though, Cloud.  I like being with you a lot.â
