“SEIFER!!!!”

The cafeteria of Garden quieted when Zell’s voice roared from the entrance doors. Zell’s face was completely red and he looked as though he was having an anxiety attack - except a very, very, very angry one. Blue eyes were darting around the room until they locked eyes with the man himself.

“YOU SON’OVA BITCH-”

Normally Zell didn’t go so far as to confront Seifer physically, but it didn’t take seconds from him to leap until he nose-to-chin with him, Zell’s hand swiping out to knock his food to the ground.

“THE FUCK YOU DOIN’ TALKIN’ TO MY MA?!??!!”

        oh, the feeling of eyes upon him. where most would back down, seifer found himself thriving in the attention. watching the pipsqueak absolutely lose his shit over something so simple and trivial ( even if he did knock seifer’s tray from his hands ) brought a cocky smile to his lips. raijin began to say something beside him, but a raised hand stopped him. it didn’t do much to abate fujin’s icy look, though.

        “ so what if i was talkin’ to your ma, bud ? couldn’t help myself ! she’s such a sweet lady. ”

        it wasn’t like dincht to get so physical. since they were kids, seifer had been waiting for the day where ol’ chicken wuss would show that he was more than just a crybaby. not that he would remember. he never remembered. maybe i can jog his memory a little.

hey guys if you wanna have a bad time ... please consider the idea of seifer having a fear of being forgotten / not remembered. his attention - seeking behavior, his refusal to conform, his dream of becoming a sorceress’ knight ... compounded with the fact that everyone forgets, save for irvine, that they all grew up together. he becomes less of someone tied to their childhood and more of just some dick they went to balamb with.

he’s someone who doesn’t want to be forgotten so he’s gonna do his damned hardest to make sure that he is known. even if ... it’s by bullying others. especially zell. who i think is actually one of the people he wants to remember him most, from their past.

      Just ignore Seifer. Just ignore Seifer. Just ignore Seifer.

Those three words felt pretty meaningless when Zell felt like every inch of his body was on fire. He can feel it boiling behind his eyes too, threatening a tear-filled rage. He can’t stop shaking. Zell isn’t even aware he’s holding his breath - all his focus is on is JUST IGNORE SEIFER.

“………. You ain’t worth it-”

        while zell seemed to be about to boil over before him, seifer was completely calm in contrast. to say he was used to dishing out this kind of treatment and taking it in return was an understatement --- especially when zell was involved.

“I CAN TAKE A JOKE - YOU’RE THE WHOLE FUCKIN’ CIRCUS!!!”

main: takes place during the events of ffviii with a slight canon divergence. seifer remembers his past at the orphanage and that he grew up with the rest of the party. the only time he really used a gf was during the dollet mission. being around edea jogs those memories that he may’ve lost from that mission.

ii. hi, my name is thoaria ! i am 18+ & while i have not personally played the entirety of final fantasy viii, i am doing all i can to gather information on seifer and the setting ( via the wiki / playthroughs ). oh, and my pronouns are she / her.

iii. given the fact that ffviii has been out for years, i will not be tagging spoilers.

iv. i ship chemistry, but it’s not likely that i will ship much right off the bat. if i do, it will, of course, only be with muses at most two years younger ( and that’s iffy ) and three years older ( and that’s still iffy ). i rarely, if ever, write nsfw. the closest i tend to get is a crude joke or two. i have a ... certain sense of humor. also, given that seifer is just barely 18 ... that would be questionable to write unless it’s with muses around the same age.
