When everywhere else Period is a taboo, in Odisha it is a festival. Raja, the festival of Mother Earth's mensuration. For three days Women are celebrated. Varieties of food, swings plus the extra pampering. Hopefully everyone accepts this as part of life instead of thinking it as taboo. One of the food unique to Raja festival is Poda Pitha. A equal mix of Udad Dal & Rice, soaked and grind it to a smooth paste. Sugar, Dry Fruits, Coconut and 2tbsp of clarified butter is added to the paste. Then traditionally baked in a Earthen Hearth/Fire Place(ΰ¬ΰଲି).
