SAINT LOUIS port overview by Rex Stewart Via Flickr: Airfix engineers of those times did a stellar job with their research when these kits came. They were a bit pricey as I remember, but well worth getting. I saw possibilities in them and it took 40 years to bring out that truth...and 44 with this one, as my first was built in 1980. Because those engineers were clever in their selective choice of vessels, I knew these would increase in value at some later point. However, not to hoard by stashing them; but by enhancing them so that the global community could see and embrace the genius of those designers.
