I was in Torrance today and I was hoping to sketch the Madrona Marsh. But it was closed on Monday. So I stopped by the Western Museum of Flight next door. Unfortunately they closed at 3 PM. Was a little sad today when I saw the news that the USS Kitty Hawk has begun it’s journey towards dismantling 😞. This was the first carrier I had the opportunity to visit almost 25 yrs ago . Here’s a few pics from the day (yes, they’re not great but I was young and using a camera with a film… remember when you didn’t know what you got until they were developed ?
