He's said too much. Usually adverse reactions to his frequent mouth-running don't phase him, but Jesper's obvious discomfort does. There goes the little pang in his heart, the sweat on the back of his neck that tells him that he cannot take back the words he's said. There's only so much playing off and acting innocent he can do, either. His words do have more than one meaning.

Sturmhond busies himself with picking invisible lint off of one cuff of his frock coat, pretending as though he hasn't noticed Jesper draw away. Then he busies himself with sipping his brandy. Acting natural and all that.

well i mean aside from the fact amelia naturally attracts animals so it’s not uncommon for one of her mother’s cats or her brother or father’s dogs to also be with her along with her companions. it’s also not uncommon for other nobles pets to find their way to her if they are brought to court.

to start she has her two irish wolfhounds named laurel and indigo. she raised and trained them herself since they were pups and are faithfully loyal and incredibly well behaved. rarely do you see them far from their princess, either glued to her side or at the very least within their sight.

then there’s her shire horse, clover. he was not in the lineup of horses her father had picked as potential matches for her. he was unruly, refused to be stabled and seemed to dislike most people. but amelia had spotted him first and for whatever reason set her heart on him. to everyone’s surprise clover actually listen and followed her out of the field when she went to go collect him. he’s still unruly, and skeptical of a lot of people but the worst he will do is give you a hard side eye. at amelia’s request he isn’t stabled in the barn unless absolutely necessary and there’s no denying that she has absolutely softened him.

Nico tends to think of fashion and clothing in a very utilitarian manner. His one requirement for his clothing is that it needs to be black/dark colored, and ideally comfortable, but he will sacrifice some comfort for the color. Other than that, he doesn’t tend to think about clothing. I do headcanon that when he grows out of his bomber jacket, he gets a long dark duster coat and he thinks that makes him look very cool.
