It had taken him just over four months to break his promise. A promise he thought he would never break, the he insisted on keeping no matter what back when he made it. And here he was, sitting in a visitor’s room at the BSHCI waiting for Graham to make his appearance, breaking it. It was just under a month since Beverly died and the weight of the suffering that brought him was more than evident in his appearance. He’d lost weight, his cheeks were sunken in slightly, grays had become more prominent, and the dark circles under his eyes had darkened several shades. His thumbnails had been chewed down to the bed and even further, scabbed over and aching perpetually. Zeller had never looked so haggard in his life.

Nowadays, his sky blue eyes were looking more overcast and they certainly did in the dull lighting of the visitor’s room. They slowly shifted over to the door as the doorknob turned and it was opened to reveal Will Graham in his slate blue jumpsuit, looking just as worn as he felt. Zeller had resolved to maintain eye contact with him when he walked in, but as soon as he met gazes with those whirlpools, something seized in his chest and he redirected his eyes to the file on the table in front of him. Another promise broken. Thankfully he’d gotten used to letting himself down lately. Only when Graham was seated did he have the courage to look at him again. Zeller swallow thickly before opening cracked lips to speak.

The android stepped forward, head ever so slightly cocking to the side as it began to speak again. "No, RK900 is my designated model number. I am the second wave of a prototype investigation android. We began our introduction in Detroit, Michigan, and the governemt gave the go-ahead for my production."

As it moved, the android made no move to relax. It's steps were calculated, efficient, and expended as little energy as possible. It's eyes flickered, slightly, the LED on it's right temple whirring to a pale yellow as it scanned the room. "I can understand your hesitance to work with such a machine, but I assure you I am far more dependable than a human investigative partner."
