Like father, like son

I'm not super satisfied with it, but I wanted to post it. I might redo it sometime in the future.

(There's also the fact that this is a bit old. Yikes)

Violetshine's kind of shitty foster mom. That scene where she's sick with yellowcough and asks for all her kits but not Violetpaw made me so sad and it's stuck in my mind all these years :(

And like she didn't neglect her physically but emotionally she def did. I'm pretty sure her mate was never mentioned to be a father figure for Violetkit so I guess at least she's better than him 😭😭

I like Kate Carey's interpretation that she held no ill will towards Violetshine but felt like she didn't belong in ShadowClan.

Canonically she dies in AVoS but reviewing my notes she's apparently still alive in my rewrite. I don't remember if I kept her alive on purpose but I don't feel like changing it so 🤷‍♀️

Also because of family tree stuff her birth has been pushed forward and so she's no longer the mother of the kit who dies in the Dark Forest battle
