Tried a different angle for the face on this one, unsure how I feel about it but I like the rest of the drawing 😭

Furze is such a cute prefix <3

She was also a Dark Forest trainee who was introduced to it by her mentor, Sunstrike, and later indoctrinated her own apprentice, Larktalon, into it. She felt immense guilt for this that she never really got over. Larktalon and hers relationship was very stiff and formal after everything went down, and she regrets not making more of an effort to make it up to Larktalon after she died. She has complicated feelings about Sunstrike as well, though she believes that she meant well.

The reason she trained in the Dark Forest was similar to Ivypool's: she felt inferior to her sibling(s) (though i will say, Ivypool was not a bad apprentice, she was just up against her sister with superpowers, whereas Furzepelt actually was a problem kid lol). Furzepelt had anger issues and it had cost her prey in the past and gotten her in trouble with her mentor more times than she could count. Compared to the stoic, reasonable Boulderfur and the analytical, intelligent Crouchfoot, she felt like a failure. So when Sunstrike offered her the help of dead Clan cats, how could she say no?

Pretty buff for a WindClan guy huh

I like to think of him as a pretty chill guy but also very willing to fight. He was much more measured and composed than his mentor Breezepelt and dreamed of leading WindClan one day, though he unfortunately died in the Great Battle.

I think Breezepelt considered recruiting him to the Dark Forest but decided he was too much of a normie

Whiskernose? Yeah they're supposed to go there

One of the Dark Forest trainees, he retires from his injuries after the Great Battle despite being very young. The injuries are never specified so he has chronic pain in his hips and he can't walk steadily because of his tendons were ripped up around his haunches, and he was also half blinded.

He looked up to Breezepelt a lot and tried to model his behaviour after him, being aggressive towards outsiders, but his heart was never really in it lol. He used to be really indignant and desperate to prove himself. He's mellowed out a lot since moving to the elders' den and likes to make jokes about himself being soooooo old and wise

He faced a lot of judgement for retiring young after being a dark forest trainee (even though it was mostly Onestar's choice). Cats whispered about him taking up resources that could be given to the loyal elders. He felt a lot a guilt about it but there wasn't anything he could do to prove his loyalty besides be kind and patient, even when he was angry or annoyed. Years later, he's still alive and a generally beloved Clanmate :)

Mistcloud and Sparrowtail's dead littermate. She appears perfectly healthy in Night Whispers, and then disappears and is mentioned in Thunder and Shadow as having died. I'm just going to say she had greencough

She doesn't have a canon gender but I said girl because I don't think we've had a she-cat with the Weasel prefix

She has the eye markings of her grandma Nightwing, the one different coloured paw of her mom, the face marking of her great uncle, and the tail and butt marking of her grandpa

She gains the name Weaselfoot in StarClan

Okay so you know the unnamed ShadowClan kit who dies in the Dark Forest? Well, if you didn't here's some backstory. Some fans started referring to them as Happykit, which Kate Cary said she liked, but in Bramblestar's Storm their name was revealed to be Weaselkit. However, I liked the name Happykit so I split them into two cats! So here's Happyheart, Weaselkit's surviving littermate.

Happyheart is generally pretty happy but he does feel some pressure put on him to always be happy because of his name.

Olivenose, what a sweetie! Idk I'm really fond of her. I didn't want to rename her but olives aren't native to the UK so she's a former kittypet now. She was adopted by Susan and Jacques' owners but they bullied her, resulting in her running away. She ended up in ShadowClan and eventually fell in love with Shrewfoot and they had kits (Shrewfoot is the bio mom and the sire is some random ass tom idgaf)

Died: In between TBC and ASC, killed by an infected wound from a fox

I didn't know the cats knew what ferrets were tbh. I googled it to make sure and they don't live in the wild except for the black-footed ferret of North America, but also "ferret" is kind of the word for a domesticated polecat so I think a black-footed ferret would just be a species of polecat? Anyway, it doesn't matter because they don't live in the wild in the UK

I really didn't want to change his name because it's cute so my explanation is that the Warrior Clans know about ferrets in the same way they know about dogs and domestic rabbits and chickens. I imagine the Clans would probably still react weirdly to a kit named Ferretkit though, like a stoat is incredibly similar and not a pet of twolegs. Though I suppose you could make the same argument for cats like Houndleap and Houndstar- why name them after twoleg pets instead of the wild wolf? Maybe his parents just had weird naming tastes.

Anyway yapping over, I think he's playful but kind of arrogant and jerkish. To me he is ShadowClan Berrynose. Also!! I've given up on having all the tortoiseshell toms be trans or intersex because it's honestly really limiting family-tree wise and its not like im following any other genetic rules but this particular guy can be whatever you want since I do not need him for family tree purposes so headcanon away

Guy who got a mention in the most recent arc as being Tawnypelt's apprentice!! He's one of the cats who's playing prey-stone (hockey) with Flametail when he dies.

Because of his birth being pushed forward, he no longer dies in the Great Battle because he would have still been an apprentice at the time. Instead, he was killed during the ShadowClan yellowcough epidemic in AVoS.

I see him as a pretty silly guy who was permantly traumatized by watching Flametail die and became less silly as a result

Violetshine's kind of shitty foster mom. That scene where she's sick with yellowcough and asks for all her kits but not Violetpaw made me so sad and it's stuck in my mind all these years :(

And like she didn't neglect her physically but emotionally she def did. I'm pretty sure her mate was never mentioned to be a father figure for Violetkit so I guess at least she's better than him 😭😭

I like Kate Carey's interpretation that she held no ill will towards Violetshine but felt like she didn't belong in ShadowClan.

Canonically she dies in AVoS but reviewing my notes she's apparently still alive in my rewrite. I don't remember if I kept her alive on purpose but I don't feel like changing it so 🤷‍♀️

Also because of family tree stuff her birth has been pushed forward and so she's no longer the mother of the kit who dies in the Dark Forest battle

He has an eye marking on his tail like his grandmother Snaketail! Coincidentally, Snaketail was his wife's mentor, and his wife's mother was his! I like to imagine they were shipping them lol

Ah the conservative xenophobic mother. I actually really like her arc, probably because it starts in AVoS and ends two arcs later in ASC, it was brewing for a long time. She does gain actual power in ShadowClan as the deputy to her sister Cloverstar, after Goldenstar/Tigerheart is demoted. I haven't finished planning for my ASC rewrite so I'm not sure how her story ends yet. I also want to make her more prominent in TBC as someone who supports the Imposter

Sorry for not posting i was busy for a while and then also forgot lmao anyway Cloverfoot!!! I love her so much and I don't really have a reason why I just have. I imagine her as in a somewhat similar place as Harespring was, because she was initially one of the more enthusiastic cats about joining The Kin, and wants to earn her Clanmates trust back as deputy. As a result, she initially doesn't argue with Goldenstar, but she has learned to have her own opinion and express it if she feels she needs to.

She is, at least briefly, Cloverstar in my rewrite, after Goldenstar is demoted. She makes her sister Berryheart deputy, partially out of a sense of obligation. After Berryheart's betrayal has been revealed, Cloverstar wants to step down, feeling like she failed again with her judge of character, but again I'm not sure how I want this to end yet.

Also Cloverfoot x Icewing is real and I love them <3 I feel like Cloverfoot is not emotionally stable enough for a healthy relationship though. Like, from the outside she looks like she's confident and got it all together but she's constantly judging and second guessing herself because of her past. RIP
