Piltdown in East Sussex is a collection of small hamlets on the southern edge of the Ashdown Forest.  When we lived in the UK, my wife and I occasionally walked in this area. There are a couple of excellent pubs in this area including the Peacock Inn.

What you won't find here are the remains of Piltdown Man - it was a hoax!
