One of my favourite childhood memories was my mum making us piftia (pork meat in jelly) we each would sit down and Mum would give us a bowl each. Every now and then I make it too. But now it’s a little more dignified. I’ll make a large one and slice it once set. Great with salad for a hot day. Such an easy meal . Well going back to when I was a little girl my bubba (grandmother) would make what we call in Macedonian 'piftia '. And my mum continued this all through our lives. Mum would make it into soup bowls and once set us 4 kids would polish off a bowl each.
