First Quarter Moon in Virgo: Pick-an-Image Reading
This is the reading for the titled quarter moon, but feel free to receive it when it comes to you.
Take a deep breath, tune in to this moment, and use your intuition to choose an image. If you're drawn to more than one, that's okay too. Consider this an energy read rather than a prediction of final outcomes.
You’re building patience within your relationship(s). This could be a lover, friend, colleague or sibling relationship that has become strained. There is a desire or need to reconnect and reconcile. It’s possible someone’s behaviors were pre-judged or someone needs to take accountability for something they’ve done. If this person is no longer within reach, forgiveness and release are meant to happen internally for you. If there is no one in particular who this pertains to, it applies to a project that you are revisiting from the past or one that has required a great deal of patience to see the fruits of which has led to frustration.Â
A sincere apology is necessary to move things forward. This is coming from one or both people. Whoever was power hungry or controlling, and acting out of self-interest.This perceived behavior led to the break in this bond and the truth must be told and acknowledged. Whether you feel it was a misunderstanding or not, there are always two sides to every story. There may need to be a witness outside of the two of you to help neutralize the storytelling. If this is about a personal project, you’re being asked to find the fun in it again to remember why you first devoted yourself to it. Then the discipline will be restored.Â
The immediate next step is to accept that everything is not what it seems. There is a masculine energy here, possibly a Leo, that can fill in the blanks and restore harmony in this situation if it involves others. Otherwise, this energy is the catalyst, and it has to do with trading imposture syndrome for the carefree openness to have fun experimenting. It’s always a good idea to invest in something you truly love, but you have to tune into your intuition and instincts to determine what’s a priority.Â
You’re suffering a disappointment of something that you truly wanted, and have to allow yourself to grieve it. It may be a trip you wanted to take, a move, a message of love you hoped to receive…whatever it was it seemed like something that would bring you personal gratification. This wish hasn’t been granted, unfortunately. Whether it never manifested or did in a way that left you longing for more, it’s time to move on from this…
You’re being asked to accept that a certain chapter in your life is closed. Bow to it, and let it be. Emotionally, it’s not easy, but you have the maturity and steadfastness within you. This whole experience has, in fact, built that up within you. As always with this energy, you have this opportunity to turn this around. How many great works of art were born out of heartbreak? That’s not said to be cheeky, but to remind you of the power of the everyday human story. Watching or reading a story about a disappointment that turned into a reinvention (think Eat Pray Love, or Wild by Cheryl Strayed) can make this click and possibly feel inspiring.
The immediate next step is to wrap up something that’s been left open. However, you need to seek closure, do so. Spirit is clearly saying there is no way out without confronting what you’ve been avoiding head-on. If there is some perceived benefit to holding onto anything, you must release that idea as well. Maybe there is something that you really wanted to say, do, or show (getting your lick back, so to speak) as vengeance, but it’s a losing game either way. The effort will not be worth it. Any conflict that is keeping you from achieving the immediate tasks in front of you must be cleared out.
You’re having a hard time hearing your inner child over your inner critic. If you’re avoiding pursuing an interest (love or otherwise) or wearing that dress you bought, or performing at that open mic because you’re scared of negative feedback, I see Spirit double daring you (in the most playful, helpful way) to go for it. Â
If you’re worried about breaking tradition by doing what’s unexpected or unprecedented in your family or community, remember that there is always a first in everything. Let famous-first stories (think Hidden Figures, Legally Blonde, or Educated by Tara Westover) hype you up about breaking the mold. You’re not going to know what exact steps to take, some of them you are going to make up as you go. But you wouldn’t be tasked with it if you couldn’t make it work…
Besides, this period of feeling stuck, abandoned, and left to your own devices is ending. You’re going to free yourself through some information that you come across. Freeing your mind is the first step, but you don’t have to search high and low for this information; it will find you (the algorithm is good for that). All you have to do is follow your curiosity and choose to engage with it. It may be a learning opportunity that shows up through a free course, internship, mentorship, or entry-level position. It could simply be an article or a story you read that outlines the initial steps
