i found this little guy behind my cat’s litter box a while ago, assumed it was a daddy long legs, and let it be. now taking a closer look at it i’m not so sure, especially since i noticed it had made a web, which daddy long legs don’t do. i’m now thinking it’s some kind of cellar spider. what do you think? (southwest ohio)

BATHROOM SPIDER DRAMA!
Ms. Spitter Spider shot her goo at Ms. Cellar spider. However, she caught her own leg in the blast, gluing them together!
You can see Ms. Spitter Spider free her leg towards the end of the video. I turned off the camera and helped Ms. Cellar Spider untangle herself.
Presently the two animals are sitting 6 inches apart and preening. Silly beasties…

Cellar spider (family Pholcidae) and her eggs!
spotted a daddy long leg spider [Pholcidae] on the stem of queen anne's lace (wild carrot!) [Daucus carota]. i almost missed him; he was blending in so well!
