Philly Cheesesteak Mac and Cheese is the ultimate comfort food dish because it combines the tastes of a classic Philly cheesesteak with creamy macaroni and cheese.
Ingredients: 8 oz elbow macaroni. 1 tbsp olive oil. 1/2 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak. 1/2 cup diced onion. 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tbsp butter. 2 tbsp all-purpose flour. 2 cups milk. 2 cups shredded provolone cheese. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Chopped fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the box to cook the macaroni until it is al dente. Remove the water and set it aside. Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Place the ribeye steak slices on top and cook until they turn brown. Take it out of the pan and set it aside. Put diced onion, diced green bell pepper, and minced garlic in the same pan. Cook until it gets soft. Put butter in the pan and let it melt. To make a roux, add the flour and stir it in. Cook for one to two minutes. Slowly whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth. Keep cooking until the sauce gets thick. Shred the provolone and mozzarella cheeses and mix them in until the cheeses melt and the mixture is smooth. Cook the ribeye steak and add it to the skillet after the macaroni is done. Mix everything together and heat it all the way through. Add pepper and salt to taste. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
