I thought I would make a post for @wheel-of-fish’s Phan Collection challenge. This isn’t all of my collection, by any means. Some stuff is in storage, lost to time, or otherwise in hiding. But I would say this is about.... 65% of my collection?
A few favorite things I wanted to highlight:
- My two Steinbach Phantom of the Opera nutcrackers
- My Phantom of the Opera FAO Schwarz Barbie and Ken set
- My Phantom of the Opera Folio Society edition
Also wanted to add that one of my souvenir books is a gift from the lovely @jennyfair7, the postcard, keychain (not featuring my keys because they are ugly), and Sherlock Holmes: Adventure of the Opera Ghost are from my amazing 2019 Secret Santa @bunchips, and the beautiful framed art is from the incredible @wolfsbaneblooming, and it is the work of the super talented @drawnby27emilys.
Not featured, because they are in storage, I couldn’t find them, or I’ve misplaced them over the years:
One charm bracelet, one lapel pin, one set of earrings, two tee-shirts, one sweatshirt, two Playbills, one copy of the novel, two tote bags, five Carlton Cards Christmas ornaments, The cast recording and cast recording highlights, the Canadian cast recording, the Yeston and Kopit cast recording, the Tom Alonso cast recording, the two disc 2004 film soundtrack, the two disc 2004 film DVD, and probably a hand full of other things I’m not thinking of right now.
Bonus: the Sam’s Club Sized Planter’s peanut can I saved every cent I owned in for the first time I saw the show in 2007. It’s labeled “Phantom Money.” Also, my stunning rendering of what I wanted my sixteenth birthday cake to look like. In case it’s not clear, it says “So the World Will Never Find You,” and I drew the mask so badly that I had to label it “mask.” And last but not least, one (and possibly the only) remaining page of my first ever phanphic at the age of twelve. Sticker added to hide my text because I would die of mortification if anyone could read it.

Phan collection challenge
Here are some of the stuff that I’ve collected so far over the past year! It’s so neat to see them together because every piece I got (except for maybe 3 things) are practically timepieces of when I first joined the phandom! Some of these things were given by friends :’‘‘) A lot are on kindle and some are hidden away from me sldkfjklj
And these are my personal favorites and things that I hold near and dear to my heart! All of these, except the hat and the entry ticket, are from some pals (There are a bunch of other things I’ve gotten from friends that I’ve met on tumblr that aren’t shown, but know that I hold them close to my heart too!)
Here’s the challenge by @wheel-of-fish if you want to join!

My Phantom Collection for @wheel-of-fish
I have more stuff than I thought I did
Pictured:
Phantom of the opera illustrated 1988
Phantom of the Opera illustrated 1992 (it has the original Andre Castaigne illustrations and I couldn't afford first edition)
Playbill from 6th December 1997 princess theater Melbourne
Gounod's Faust Opera book from 1885 included for obvious reasons (I collect old books anyway but I squee'd extra hard when I found this one for phantom reasons)
Phantom of the Opera 1999 (My first book)
An Eternity of This by Amanda Osbourne
Phantom by Susan Kay, falling to bits, but it's still good!
Destruction of Obsession by Catherine Miller
Maskerade, By Terry Pratchett
Playbill from 19th July 2007 Princess Theatre Melbourne
CD original London recording, bought in 1998 I think? Is old.
Bottom 2 I forgot to put into the original photo!
My Phantom Collection (done for @wheel-of-fish’s challenge)
Welp, here’s my PotO stash. Most of it was acquired in the last three years.
Not pictured: my Litographs shirt, 2004 Gerard Butler DVD, 1989 Robert Englund DVD, 1990 Charles Dance DVD, 1925 Lon Chaney DVD, Le Fantome keychains from the Paris Opera House, a couple Playbills from the two times I’ve watched the show, The Trapdoor Lover comic book series, and The Phantom of Manhattan. They’re either at my parents’ house or I forgot to include them. ^^;
The shirt shown here was designed by the talented @rjdaae and some of these are gifts from my pal @timebird84 XD

Flashback Friday! I’ve loved seeing everyone’s collections for @wheel-of-fish’s challenge 😍 I’ve been a bit bummed that I can’t take a summary shot of my collection because it’s spread out/disorganized/in storage, but then I remembered I have this gem...
Behold! I give you...one of my senior photos 😂 Featuring a poster of the Canadian tour cast, a beach towel, a mask/rose I used for a Halloween costume, my paperback copy of George Perry, and a London calendar.
