Please note, I’m having trouble sleeping because it was a long day, including the regular routine check up I have to do and then my second lab draw. Basically a double whammy onto two of my least favorite procedures. Ill admit though I’m not as scared of phlebotomy test anymore.

Just hit the part where Gale talks about how clean his tower is now again and it hit different. How he laughs it off but...like....cleaning, getting rid of stuff.

It's just a throw away line, but this guy collects bits and trinkets and books like no-tomorrow (just look at his camp spot!) and he's delighted by those things and, well, he's not exactly the master of organization over there. Him not having things - well, it's not about the things he's giving up - it's about the fact that he'd given up so why on earth would things matter? Even if they had been special or important to him once.

Gale is a depressed, burned out GT kid who got screwed over by the system (and person in this case because the person is the system and the system is the person) who originally told him he was special and has completely and utterly had his sense of self-worth nuked (hah) by a mistake that he really wasn't in a position to be able to avoid given all of the above circumstances because what other path could he have possibly taken and not been a failure for not trying anyways?

He is desperately trying to keep his burn out from hurting or disappointing any more people and he thought that isolation is the only way to really do that.

And his sole lifeline to any semblance of actual sanity seems to be his cat.

still occasionally making notes and doodling, but i'm not currently doing any real work

making a post because i finished my first sketches of muriel, which i am unsure if ive mentioned her by name before. but she's the reason i wanted to make character art for all the characters instead of just doing silhouettes

it's the first time i ever put her on paper and aaaaaa it's exciting! she's so pretty, it's amazing to see her like. outside my head lol

anyway. uhhh. also did some sketches for parts of bb's monster form. my process has been to sketch out diff ideas for their body parts and then choosing the ones that are my faves or fit the best.

that said, they may not resemble their main menu art *exactly* after im done, but it should be similar enough that not redoing the main menu won't be an issue

that's all i wanted to mention, for the sake of having a date for my first muriel sketches. my seasonal stuff should go in about... 2 or 3 months, probably. it's how it usually goes.

but ive been gradually doing better so it's likely i will start work again before then and that thought is... nice

yeah man, it just doesn´t do with me anymore

like i said, i appreciate bbh´s content a lot, (also ponk, foolish, fundy and many many other small creators that just deserve far more recognition than what they got) but after the eggpire finale i really can´t be bothered to watch any more lore if they ever do, it doesn´t fill me with the same excitment it used to have before
