Because "Humanity 7 Infernalist" is the thing that makes people immediately want to murder me dead on sight until I elaborate, Lachlan is a fucking crazy person who wants to reach Golconda so that they can temporarily purify themself so that the Wyrm can defile them anew from that enlightened state, plunging them down from the highest of heights. In other words, they're in the Pretanic Order and plan to dance the 9th Circle of the False Spiral after reaching Golconda, which they think will make them become a Maeljin Incarna or some shit. This is an insane person plan that will not work. In the meantime, they corrupt others much as a Setite might, enabling them towards their worst selves, but it's always just gentle nudges towards things people already had in them anyway. They're also just, the banality of evil? They're doing "infernalism" by WtA rules, not VtM infernalism, so instead of sacrificing babies to Satan for power, they're just finding loopholes in environmental regulations for the world's most evil companies, which is actually doing worse for the world in the long run even without factoring in anything fictional.

They're aligned with the Urge Wyrm of Lies, and they have a forked tongue as a Stigmata of the Wyrm from Maine DuBois, with whom they are pacted.

Their sire embraced them to "fix"/"save"/"redeem" them, but they were an out of touch elder Healer Salubri who was out of touch with how humans actually operate, so they got pulled out of a horrendously abusive situation, IMMEDIATELY blood bound 3 steps, and then repeatedly brain-blasted with Healer Valeren 5, which was intended to make them mentally healthy and cure all their mental illnesses and 'fix' their trauma but instead additionally stripped them of the ability to feel traumatized by the abuse they'd faced or organically process it and heal. It's left them kind of emotionally hollowed out even 50 years later and unable to feel strongly negative outside of frenzy. A good cathartic cry would probably fix them but they literally lack the capacity to. And they feel really empty, because yeah they were suffering before, but rage and hatred and despair are, in addition to being gifts of the wyrm, also incredibly human things they've been stripped of. They don't want to be cheerful all the time. There's a lot more psychological horror going on with "extremely alien out of touch high humanity elder salubri golconda seeker and extremely traumatized, disabled childe they're forcibly trying to 'heal' whether they want the help or not" but if people want more of their fucked up sire/childe lore I can spill elsewhere
