Two actors stepped onto the stage, ready to perform for the nonexistent audience. They missed their cue, and the script was rewritten so many times it made no sense, and the set was built so cheaply you could still see the white thread keeping the whole thing together. "I hate you", the woman in the man's mask said. "I love you, too", the man in the woman's mask replied to them, and wept. The curtain was lifted, bathing the actors in the articifal divine light. And the play began anew.
