Mira is on Day 7 today of her peanut patch trial, and it's her first day to try 12 hours wearing it instead of only 6 hours. She has been really great with it so far, being strong and not complaining much at all, even when it's itchy. Her back even after only one week looks she's been through a lot.. I'm hoping that in the end after 3 years of this she won't have any scars :( There have been a lot of articles that have come out recently that have shown great success with long term use of the patch, where people can end up eating even 4-5 peanuts with no reaction at the end! That would be amazing and would definitely ease our fears as Mira ventures out to try new things and explore new places. There's a 25% chance that Mira is on a placebo right now and then she will get a real patch for sure at 6 months. I just hope that these reactions are from the real thing... I'm just imagining how difficult it would be if these were just reactions from placebo! Way to go Mira - we are so proud of you!! #peanutallergy #4yearsold #allergies #peanutpatch
