Maryo and peach are. kind of horrific on all sides? to me? Theyve been turned into gross caricatures of themselves except peach has managed to retain at least a little bit of normalcy, meanwhile maryo is basically unrecognizable. Having such a close relationship (romantic or platonic, idc. mareach) turn so drastically on its head just completely out of the blue one day with irreversible effects, forcing you to adjust to an entirely different lifestyle is. something i kind of wish couldve been explored more but i understand why they didnt lol
I dont think maryo thinks about it. i dont think maryo Likes to think about what he was before and he seems to enjoy being himself the way he is now enough to actively resent/fear going back... in my head hes #ignoring it and pretending like nothing even happened
ummmmm. peach probably thinks about it. the guy who consistently showed up for you is suddenly a total asshole who does things solely for the bit and youre always the punchline. Hmm. Probably not enough though or maybe shes just accepted it
