Carnival games, huh? He’s not one to waste money on rigged systems and empty-handed experiences, but there’s a stuffed dog and a stuffed snake that make him smile. He’s got to get them.
He steps up to the booth, surveying the game. You had to shoot out a red star with a bb gun, but you couldn’t saw the card in half or cut the star out. Hm. Simple enough.
He pays for the play, watching as the attendant slides bbs into the gun. Snake picks up the rifle, getting a feel for it. Slightly heavier. Well used. Front sight was cocked to the side, having taken the force of a drop.
He lowers his cheek onto the stock, closing his eye, opening it again and focusing on the star.
He pulls the trigger, blowing a hole in each point of the star with careful bursts. He shakes the rifle, estimating how many shots he’s got left. Enough, he thinks. He lowers the toy a tad, before blasting the center of the star and setting the gun down. The attendant comments on his ridiculous aim, handing him the stuffed dog. He chuckles to himself. It must look odd, a man wearing tourist-style clothing and scoring perfectly on something like this. He turns, hooking the dog to his belt via the keychain it had. He looks up, noticing a young woman watching him. Venom Snake does not rattle easily. But for some reason the way she was watching him made him sheepish. He steps back.
“Did you want a turn? I apologize for hogging it.”
