Stories Submitted by Christina Who is Battling with PCOS and Learn How She Deals With It
Part 1:
Hi, my name is Christina, and this is the beginning of my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome(PCOS) expedition to motherhood. I never expected to have a hard time with fertility. In fact, I thought getting pregnant would come naturally, or easily. I thought my cycles were normal despite how heavy and frequent they were at times. But, after getting married last year, my husband and I found that wasn’t the case. I recently took a saliva hormone testand discovered I, in fact, have PCOS… it was a blow I somewhat suspected, but was not ready to confirm.
Going back to a little over a year ago, I contacted Brenda in hopes of regulating my cycle because I was having a lot of breakthrough bleeding in between cycles that frustrated me beyond lengths. I decided to try Cycle Balance Natural Progesterone Cream and I instantly fell in love!! Due to a hormonal imbalance, I also wanted to try the Natural Female Hormone Balance Supplement by Beyond Fertility Store and currently I take two capsules a day ( One in the morning and once at night ). My cycles have been more regular and I have more control over the breakthrough bleeding. When my husband and I decided to begin trying to conceive we also both decided to do a cleanse which included Psyllium Seed Husk Powder, Bentonite Clay, and 7 Day Detox Cleanse.
I now follow a Paleo template (I despise the word diet, template allows for a bit more flexibility), and I have tried to add at least 35 grams of fiber a day as well. (Honestly, I don’t miss potatoes and carbohydrates as much as I thought I might.) To help me reach my fiber goal, I continue to include Psyllium Husk to my template in the morning. Also, I have begun working out on a regular basis to lose weight.
The past few months have at times been emotionally draining. I fight every month knowing I still have a lot of work to accomplish. Every time a new pregnancy announcement shows up in a social media feed, or a new baby is brought into this world I feel guilty having even the slightest bit of jealousy towards the parents. In the end, I know that I am improving my health and well-being, and building a healthier lifestyle for my family. I am ready for whatever God has in store for my husband and me.
Part 2:
So I have moved several states south lately, and because of the move, I have absolutely slacked in keeping on track with my fertility plans. I have just recently started tracking my Basal Body Temperature (BBT) again and need to restart the Paleo template.
I have still been taking the Female Hormone Balance because my husband and I have noticed a difference when I do not take it. Since I have not had a menstrual cycle in a few months ( currently on cycle day 130… yes you read that correctly ), I have not used any progesterone cream or progesterone oil (HUGE fan of the oil!).
I have also recently decided to try a new product Brenda has available called Chrysin Max Best Natural Aromatase Inhibitor. I will keep everyone posted on any differences I notice as I begin to add this to my template as well. If I have researched correctly it should help balance my estrogen and testosterone levels. I have felt so broken lately but I am optimistic getting back on track will help. Stay tuned…
Looking forward to some awesome tips! ( This is not medical advice...always speak with your medical professional first!) #naturopath #naturopathicmedicine #naturopathicdoctor #pcos #pcostips #pcoswarrior

A quick intro...
So where to start, well hi I’m Becca I’m a 21 year old from a small town in Derbyshire and yes I am a pcos sufferer. I was a bit hesitant as to starting this blog but i know how difficult it is for me finding support and tips on how to deal with pcos and i figured this was the best way of showing how it affects my life but also sharing my own tips and helping others to live their lives without the worry of their condition. I also would love to hear from you! How does it affect you and what advice can you share with others?
So you have pcos or you just want to know more about it? Well your in the right place! We all know that worldwide, PCOS affects 6% to 10% of women, but each case if different and each person is unique to the condition. I truly believe that other sufferers are better for help with this than any doctor and I know we all have many side affects but there are small things we can try that actually make a huge difference....trust me.
I am very familiar with the ups and downs (far too many downs in my opinion) but i have learnt some great ways of losing weight, stimulating the mind and getting over depression (there’s light and the end of the tunnel honest) the cravings, the mood swings, the feeling of being completely alone i know it all but i want to help you in kicking the thoughts of pcos being bad and turning it into something positive, a achievement that you over came and are proud to be part of!
Boy has PCOS taken me on a journey. I'm kinda dealing with it on my own and google has been my bestfriend lately. i still feel like I know jacksquat about it. Is there anyone who has been dealing with PCOS for a while that can give me advice? it'd be much appreciated :)
