AN: I'm writing this in the car on my phone so I'm sorry for the typos and mistakes lol

Logan rubbed the sleep out of his eyes as he pulled open the door. Who would even be knocking at his front door at two in the morning, anyway? Probably just a lost drunk person or a college kid trying to pull a dumb prank.

"Hello?" He croaked, voice still rough from sleep.

He was suddenly very awake, though, when he felt a pair of arms wrap around his neck and someone's lips press against his own. He froze, trying to piece together what was happening. Finally the pieces clicked into place.

"Patton? What are you doing here at two in the morning? Don't you live all the way across town?" He put his hands on his boyfriend's hips and gently pushed him away, but allowing him to stay close enough to keep his arms looped around his shoulders.

Patton shrugged and grinned in that lopsided way that Logan adored. "My classes are online for this week, something about the teacher being in California? I wasn't paying attention."

Logan just stared, clearly not understanding, which made Patton giggle. "Meaning," he poked Logan's chest teasingly. "That I don't need to be on campus all the way across town, so here I am!"

Logan blinked slowly. He must still be asleep, this made no sense. "O...kay?"

"i also forgot my coat, my car keys, and my wallet."

This, apparently, was the breaking point, because Logan burst into uncontrollable giggles. His laughter made Patton start laughing, and soon enough the two of them were sitting on Logan's couch, cackling and holding each other as close as humanly possible.

When they finally calmed down, Logan stood and took Patton's hand, gently guiding him up and pulling him back to his bedroom. They settled in next to each other in bed, Patton huddled against his chest like a koala.

Later, when he woke up with Patton still in his arms snoring softly, he would smile to himself and wonder how he got so lucky as to have someone who would travel an hour in the middle of the night to be with him.

But for now, he drifted off to sleep, his nose buried in Patton's hair and holding him tightly to his chest.

Do I really have to choose? TwT
