Hi!im not sure how much you know about willogenic systems but i was wondering if u have any tips on helping a willomate develop a more?
hey, our partner is a willogenic/paromancy sys. we asked her this question and here’s what she said:
“you know, for us, more than anything what helps is spending time with each other. for me, the host, i try to make conscious efforts to include nev in almost everything. i’m always asking about her thoughts on stuff and trying to get her opinion. i ask her what she’s thinking in the current moment or like ask her to suggest what we should have for a snack or what kind of music we should work on. we also collaborate in the studio a lot, and working together helps us learn more about each other. so yeah, just keeping that dialogue constant and open is what helps us the most.”
we aren’t willogenic ourselves, but we do have this post on building individuality in headmates which might help even a willomate develop more into their own distinct person. here it is:
Discovering identity and individuality as a member of a system As headmates, it can often be challenging for many of us to understand who w
and as always, if anyone sees this who has any tips or advice on helping a willomate develop more, you are welcome and encouraged to share.
we hope this helps, anon. good luck with developing your willomate into a more well-rounded individual in the future :)
Chiming in on what a few other people have said.
I (Grace) am my own person. Pretty solidly so.
Earlier today though, at work, I was talking with Shiloh and they asked what it feels like to be me, when I'm in front. And I answered honestly: I feel a lot like a Willow. The way I think and feel is very similar to their way of thinking and feeling, though they're always cocon with each other so they're always thinking in a chorus while I'm singing solo.
I don't think that matters though. Me being a person has nothing to do with how different I am - look at identical twins, they can be super similar and they're definitely different people! It's about, for me, with my philosophy, being self-contained. All my thoughts are mine. Lots of us will agree with things I think, but I'm the one doing the thinking. I choose where my thoughts go, though of course there's randomness and intrusive and impulsive thoughts that come up. Those are from my brain, not from my conscious will. And the things I do are very similar to things the Willows do - I'm leaning our head on our left hand the way they do when looking down at our phone and typing on it. But it's still me doing it.
And this isn't the kind of thing you'd find in psychology or psychiatry papers or research.
The definition of personhood is not a psych thing. It's a philosophy thing. And people are allowed to follow different philosophies, so long as those don't lead to harm.
There's a couple active systems in the tulpa community on Reddit who view both tulpas and hosts as fluid constructs, but that both are still "the same person". We'd disagree with that. But so long as they're respecting each other, and not pushing that definition on other systems, it's fine.
Find the philosophy that makes the most sense to you.
Questions for systems who have BOTH purposefully created and non-created headmates/alters/parts:
Are there any noticeable differences between your created headmate(s) and your non-created headmate(s)?
If your system is connected to a disorder like DID/OSDD/etc, do you consider your created headmates to be disordered or non-disordered?
How has purposefully creating a headmate helped or harmed you?
Do you consider your created headmate to be something like a tulpa, thoughtform, parogen, or willomate?
Someone in my asks wanted me to make a subreddit since I also made a forum so here it is.

The Tulpa Lounge
An inclusive space for all created systems and headmates.
Here at The Tulpa Lounge, we fully accept all forms of created members and systems not limited to tulpas. Of course we accept all forms of plurality, but the focus here is created!
This blog is run by host and tulpa pair Aster and Rylas. The system has traumagenic origins and a few created members.
Anyone is welcome to interact, however please do not discriminate against others for using certain terms to describe their origins (tulpa, willogen, etc). All hate regarding tulpamancy and creating systems will not be entertained; this is not the place for syscourse.
I don't mind to be a bother but if anybody in the paromancy community has time would mind making a symbol specific to paromancy? The tulpa community already has it's own symbol and it's only fitting that this community has it's own as well. (I would do it but I'm terrible at graphic designing 😢)
