it’s a random win in their rookie season and sam all fucking hype, has been hype the whole night, dragging misa around by the hips and shoulders and anywhere he can reach him. he’s the one who tackles misa to the bed and says some bullshit about brojobs for winners, says even more shit when misa looks at him like he’s insane and asks what the fuck is a brojob? sam sort of loses his mind because right, nice perfect sweet idiot misa isn’t the type of guy trading handies in hotel rooms. but misa is also the kind of guy who goes along with everything sam says, soaks up all his dumb ideas and grins along to sam being a little too genuine when he says do you wanna, i’ll make it good. and yeah, sam leans down and kisses misa against the mattress which he wouldn’t do with any other brojob guys, but it’s misa and his big brown wet eyes, and pretty mouth. in no world was sam going to miss that opportunity.

it’s year one at saginaw, and misa can’t even drive yet but he’s in the passenger seat of zayne’s shitty second hand toyata with a shared joint between them. misa’s already been giggling on and off for the past hour when zayne turns to him with his great idea face and says we should kiss. it was funny then, and it’s honestly still funny now. misa and zayne, and a chaste little peck over the console before they’re laughing into each other’s mouths. then it’s zayne and misa very uncoordinatedly making out in the front seat because it’s something to do and they’re high. zayne thinks of it as a true testament of their friendship, you can’t say you’re best friends if you haven’t made out once.

misa’s ten and spence is eleven and both of them still think girls are kind of gross, or at least not interesting. misa’s memory is so bad that he’s not sure how it exactly happened, just that he was in spence’s room kicked out from the living room for his sister’s birthday party and that they started talking about crushes and cooties and kissing. it devolved a little from that when spence said he was like totally good at it and misa said he was a liar because he definitely didn’t kiss jessica lee from the grade above. it doesn’t really matter because spence grabbed misa by the sides of his face and planted one on him. then there’s when they were sixteen and drunk and made out at coincidentally jessica lee’s boyfriend’s house party. spence doesn’t tell either story, and misa knows enough to keep his mouth shut, but it’s important to know that it happened.
